Some rules of our center:

When you go shopping to buy trousers, you usually know, at least, what sort of trousers you want, their cost and style. When you come to the language center you only know how much you are able to pay and how often to study. And hope to find out all the rest information in the course of the conversation.

«I need English. What can you offer?” The answer is, Yyes, we have English. But what kind of English do you need?»

Don’t wonder – this is a common problem. People don’t always understand why they need a foreign language and what they are going to do with it. Therefore, after having visited 5 or 6 centers and having asked long-suffering managers a hundred questions, at last, they choose that center which is cheaper and\or where the manager is prettier or where their friends are taught or where there are solid offices. But after a couple of months a man finds out that

He must learn the language!

«You hoped you would begin to visit lessons and the language would be learnt itself. But you are made to do exercises, write compositions, buy a textbook! What do I pay the money for? Why do I learn it?”

Any language must be learnt regularly and for a long time!

I haven’t even fancied that to learn a language you must spend plenty of time. Well, I’ll miss a lesson today, I’ll tell the teacher I have to prepare for the report. And tomorrow… I’m invitied for the birthday party. You come the day after tomorrow and you are late for half an hour (boss has made you stay a bit longer in the office). Everybody is actively discussing something. There are unknown words on the blackboard. “Hey, teacher, explain it to me, I’ve missed it. What the hell the construction is it? I don’t remember it… you learnt it last month when I was on business trip? Or went fishing?…. Gosh! What do I pay the money for? I go and go to the lessons and everything is in vain…”

Don’t miss your lessons!

Choose that kind of the course which suit your aim and start attending it in time.

“I’ve been attending the lessons for about half a year, started to learn Pre-Intermediate, can tell about the weather and about my hobby. Here is my composition about funny stories from my life experience. I started from - Мy name is Vova! – that was all I knew. But I have doubts… I will have an interview in 3 months. I’ve applied for the position of the manager to the computor company. I’ll have to speak English at the interview. What will I tell them – about the weather? When is the teacher going to teach me how and what to say at the interview? What do I pay the money for?”

Choose the kind of the language program you need!
At least in addition to the one you have.

The language must be learnt the way the language but not economy or mathimatics is taught.

“hello, hello. What the cards have you given to us? What? To say it? And stand up? Oh, these your mess methods. May I sit down? Ok, dictate it. Why are we dabbling? Give me the rules. Here’s my summary. How can I make up a dialogue if you haven’t asked to do it at home? And how can I answer the questions to the text if we haven’t translated it yet? What do I pay the money for – you don’t dictate me rules and make me think myself?”

Be ready to accept unusual but efective methods.

I need spoken language! I don’t need your grammar. What do I pay the money for! How come I can’t learn the language without grammar? Why can’t I learn to speak without transcription, reading and grammar??? Can’t I write down the pronunciation of the word in Russian letters? I think it’s easier for me…

Remember: the language is an indivisible unit where grammar or phonetics cannot be excluded.

“Oh, do you tell me about this “shall”? Who uses it? And why do I have to learn so many modal verbs? I think “can” is enough for me… What do I need one more meaning of the word “like” for? Don’t’ put these “-ing” and “to” into my head. Englishmen will hopefully understand me without them…

Be ready to master a literary language. You will always have time to spoil it.
